All of our installers serve a seven-year apprenticeship with us, so when it comes to the final product being installed, we are confident that you will be delighted with the workmanship.
Collections
We supply and install carpets around the world and only work with leading manufacturers. Whether you require a basic plain tufted carpet or a bespoke hand-crafted rug we can procure or commission a product to satisfy your requirements.
We have, over many years, established close relationships with many of the world’s top carpet producers and can produce hand-crafted carpets using wool, cotton, pure silk, bamboo, linen, polished cotton, viscose or innovative fibres, such as NuSilk.TM
Rugs
We also supply bespoke customised rugs which are suitable for placing on any hard surface or on top of soft floor coverings on board a vessel.
Each rug is made to order using your personal choice of carpet style and border trim. We have a huge range of materials to choose from, ensuring the end result is a unique piece that is totally your own creation.
You can even choose to have your rug trimmed in fabrics such as leather or silk to make them even more striking.
Rugs can be made to any size or shape and we can cut and precision stitch the rug and border to ensure it meets your specific dimensions.
Underlay
At Borderline we insist on using Cloud9 IMO approved underlay to ensure that all installations conform to IMO regulations.
Acoustic high impact sound proof underlays are available in various thicknesses to give the best performance from noise and vibration.
SYLKATM AND NUSILKTM
Borderline is the main supplier worldwide for the SYLKATM brand, which is made with the innovative NuSilkTM fibre system – making it ideal for a wide range of marine applications.
Although delicate and luxurious to touch, the micro-fibre from which NuSilkTM is derived makes SYLKATM extremely durable and hardwearing.
SYLKATM has a good selection of standard ranges to choose from which over the years have been specified by high-profile boat builders and marine interior designers.
Pricing and Surveys
We aim to make obtaining an initial budget for a project as simple and stress-free as possible.
All we need to know is what type of carpet you require or what has been specified and a drawing or .DWG of the vessel showing the areas that require carpet. We can then provide an estimated cost for the carpet, installation, shipping/delivery, and all sundry items.
If the pricing is within your budget, we will then arrange for one of our surveyors to carry out a full on-site survey to give a fixed price – it’s as simple as that!
Once all costs are signed off, we will brief our highly-trained team and prepare the product for delivery to suit the needs of the client.
Installation
All of our Carpet Planners and Fitters are employed directly by our company, ensuring we retain total control of their work.
To guarantee standards remain high, all of our installation teams serve at least seven years of training, which is done in-house alongside our own highly knowledgeable team of fitters.
Our installers understand exactly what we expect from them to give our clients a top-quality finish and work efficiently to ensure projects are completed on time and on budget.
With years spent working on marine projects around the world, they understand the industry and the high standards that are expected within luxurious vessels and superyachts.
All of our installations are guaranteed to be of the highest standard. Whether you require a bespoke hand-crafted carpet or one of our other ranges, the service we offer our clients will be of the same exacting standards. We also provide the same service for crew areas.
